2019 Bear River Rendezvous
The annual Bear River Rendezvous on August 23-25, 2019 at Bear River State Park in Evanston, Wyoming celebrates the region’s trapping heritage with mountain men and women recreating a typical pre-1840s gathering. Earliest setup starts Wednesday at 12 noon. Pre-registration until August 2. Trade and camp spots are on first come basis. Pre-registration guarantees a spot, not a location. No tin tipis or camping allowed in parking area. Latest checkout Monday before 10 pm.

CAMP FEES
Trader: $35 ($30 pre-register)
Camp Spot: $35 ($30 pre-register) – size 25 ft x 25 ft
Trade Spot w/Camp: $55 ($45 pre-register)
CAMP RULES
Traders must dress in pre-1840s attire and will be asked to donate a prize.
Trade items must be what would reasonably be found in a pre-1840 rendezvous.
Water will be available on site.
There are places for primitive camping and a tin tipi area.
No traffic in and out from Friday 10pm until Sunday at 3pm.
No barking dogs; all dogs must be on leash.

Bear River State Park features a Tourist Information Center, picnic areas and a small herd of bison and elk (kept for public viewing in cooperation with the Wyoming Game and Fish Department,) Bear River is a popular stop for travelers on I-80. The park also contains nearly three miles of hiking/bicycling trails which connect to the Bear Project, a greenbelt activity sponsored by the City of Evanston.
