2019 High Plains Regional Rendezvous
Experience the 2019 High Plains Regional Rendezvous on June 16-22, 2018 on the Sheyenne River near Sheldon, North Dakota. Join us for a traditional re-enactment of pre-1840 Fur trade era camp and events over the Father’s Day Weekend. Set this year in the beautiful Flint Hills of North East Kansas.
High Plains Regional Rendezvous
This year’s High Plains Regional Rendezvous promises to have competitions, activities, demonstrations, and educational sessions for everyone! Including numerous black powder shooting events: rifle, shot-gun, pistol, trade gun, and flintlocks. As well as archery contests, hawk and knife throws, flu-flu shoot, camp games, cooking contest, seminars, and women’s and kid’s games.
The High Plains Regional Rendezvous is a pre-1840s Rendezvous. All camps, accoutrements, clothing and trade goods are required to be representative of those prior to the 1840 Fur Trade Era. Rendezvous participants must be in period clothing, including footwear, to enter and leave camp during official event dates, until after closing ceremony.
We invite everyone to enjoy the many activities of High Plains Regional Rendezvous including shoots, seminars, camp activities and hawk/ knife competition. Expect warm days but be prepared for any and all kinds of variations in the weather.
Public Hours: The public is welcome the first weekend from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. each day. Outside of those hours you would need to be in period attire. Traders will be on hand if you need to purchase clothes for the event.
