2019 Maine Indian Basketmakers Holiday Market
Join us for the Maine Indian Basketmakers Holiday Market on December 14, 2019 at the Hudson Museum University of Maine in Orono, Maine. This is the largest holiday gathering of Maine Indian artists in New England featuring members of the Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance who have received national awards and new artists representing the next generation of weavers.
50+ established, national award-winning artists (including winners of the prestigious “Best of Show” award at Santa Fe Indian Market and the Heard Museum show as well as two makers who are National Endowment for the Arts Heritage Fellows).and new, upcoming makers from Maine’s Maliseet, Micmac, Passamaquoddy, and Penobscot nations will attend.

Enjoy a day showcasing one-of-a kind art forms, demonstrations, storytelling, traditional music, drumming, and dancing with members of the Penobscot, Passamaquoddy, Micmac, and Maliseet nations. The Maine Indian Basketmakers Holiday Market features something for everyone!
