2019 Nulhegan Abenaki Heritage Gathering
Join us for the 7th Annual Nulhegan Abenaki Heritage Gathering on August 24-25, 2019 at the Mount Norris Scout Reservation in Eden Mills, Vermont. This inter tribal Abenaki Gathering invites all Abenaki in native drumming, singing, dancing and traditional games for adults and children. All are welcome to join in!
Members of the Abenaki Tribe at Nulhegan~Memphremagog, as well as other natives will be selling their traditional and contemporary art throughout the weekend. Activities include skills demonstrations and storytelling, which can be enjoyed by visitors of all ages.
This family friendly event is free and family friendly. The main focus of the celebration is Abenaki culture and the historic and contemporary value of the Wabanaki and Seven Nations alliances.
This is not a “powwow”, but a celebration of members, friends, and friends of friends, all who value the customs, traditions, and alliances of the Abenaki people are invited to come celebrate. Vending space is available as well as limited camping space. This is a rain or shine event
Please note that this is an alcohol and drug-free event. Dogs, except for service dogs, are not allowed. The event will be held rain or shine due to an indoor facility.
