2019 Spring Mill Civil War Reenactment Weekend
Canceled after 2018.Relive history at the 2nd Annual Spring Mill Civil War Reenactment Weekend on June 9-10, 2018 at the Spring Mill State Park Pioneer Village in Mitchel, Indiana. Spring Mill State Park and the 44th Tennessee Company K Civil War Reenactors invite you to join us at the Spring Mill Civil War Reenactment Weekend and learn about everyday life for Civil War soldiers. Spring Mill State Park’s Pioneer Village will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. both days of the event. The featured event is the battle reenactment that takes place on Sycamore Field at 2:00 p.m. on both days. At 1:50 p.m., visitors will be directed to the viewing areas where they can safely view the program that depicts a battle for possession of the village.
Spring Mill Civil War Reenactment Weekendt
Civil War battle reenactments will be fought on the trails and hills surrounding the historic village and in the historic village itself. Visit with Union and Confederate soldiers and civilian reenactors both before and after the battle reenactments. Sit around the campfire with a reenactor and learn about the life of a civil war soldier or civilian in the 1860s.
Admission:
Park admission during the event is $7 per vehicle for in-state residents and $9 per vehicle for out-of-state residents. In addition, 2018 annual entrance passes are available.

About Spring Mill State Park Pioneer Village
This is a restored Pioneer Village, founded in 1814 that consists of 20 historic buildings to explore. The centerpiece of the village is a 3-story limestone gristmill, built in 1817, that still grinds cornmeal today. Heritage interpreters portray the year 1863 and demonstrate period crafts and visitors will not only get to visit with the interpreters, but also the soldiers from 44th Tennessee Company that will be fighting in the civil war reenactment.
