2019 Tonkawa Powwow
Come experience the 45th Annual Tonkawa Powwow on June 27-30, 2019 at the Fort Oakland Reserve in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. The Tonkawa Powwow, an annual tribal celebration, feature Native American singing, dancing, contests, crafts, artwork and food. Dance contest styles include straight, fancy, traditional, cloth and buckskin categories. Free admission, free camping, along with electric and water hookups and free rations will be available.

Stick around for a traditional Tonkawa scalp dance during the festival and a Nez Perce memorial ceremony Saturday morning. The Tonkawa Pow Wow also includes a different sporting tournament each day (Basketball, Warrior’s Run, Horseshoes and Disc Golf) and a scout dance.
