Experience the annual Barona Powwow on Labor Day Weekend at the Barona Sports Park in Lakeside, California. You are invited to join the Barona Band of Mission Indians for a weekend of contest dancing in all categories. Dancers will be competing for over tens of thousands of dollars in prize money! The celebration starts on Friday, with gourd dancing at 6 p.m. and grand entry at 7 p.m. and continues throughout the weekend on Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Barona Labor Day Weekend Powwow
Each year the Barona Powwow brings thousands of people together to share in a celebration of Tribal culture and a friendly competition for prize money. During the three-day event, which is held over the Labor Day weekend, thousands of Native Americans from across the country will showcase traditional Tribal dancing as they in the various contest categories. In addition to beautiful regalia and dancing, spectators will also be able to enjoy Hand Drum contests, singing and music, authentic Native American food and exquisite handcrafted jewelry. All drums and dancers are welcome.

FREE ADMISSION & PARKING – PUBLIC WELCOME! Free shuttle Service: Available from Barona Resort & Casino to the Powwow grounds; the shuttle pick-up and drop-off area is located at the south entrance of the casino.

Location: Barona Sports Park, 1095 Barona Road, Lakeside, CA 92040 – The Barona Powwow takes place at the Barona Sports Park located just one mile north of Barona Resort & Casino in Lakeside. The sports park features a covered playground, a snack bar and baseball fields as well as batting cages, picnic areas and a walking path.
