2019 Kihekah Steh Powwow
All are welcome at the 50th Annual Kihekah Steh Powwow on July 26-28, 2019 at the Dance Grounds west of Skiatook, Oklahoma. This important Native American event occurs northwest of town and features a wide variety of traditional dancing and beautiful regalia. There will be gourd dancing nightly along with plenty of activities for kids like junior contests and Tiny Tots events.
Kihekah Steh Powwow
Each evening begins with gourd dancing. This is followed by the Grand Entry, where all of the dancers and contestants enter the dance arena preceded by the Color Guard. The dancer’ regalia represent the culture, personality, and dance style of each individual dancer.
Browse handmade craft vendors or sample some of the delicious food available throughout the weekend. Bring your own chairs and enjoy the night of dancing.
