2018 Northern Ute Thanksgiving Pow Wow
All are welcome at the Annual Northern Ute Thanksgiving Pow Wow on November 22-24, 2018 at the Fort Duchesne Gym in Fort Duchesne, Utah. Join us for a celebration of cultural heritage as the Northern Ute Tribe hosts it annual Thanksgiving Pow Wow. The Fort Duchesne Gym will be packed to capacity as dancers of all ages and drum groups from across the U.S. come to take part in the holiday event.
Northern Ute Thanksgiving Pow Wow
The three day Northern Ute Thanksgiving Pow Wow has become a tradition of the Thanksgiving holiday in the Uintah Basin. Intertribal dancing begins the evening after the Grand Entry, before moving into dance competitions divided by age groups and categories such as grass dance, jingle dress, and fancy dance. Vendors will line the walls, halls, and empty spaces, offering gift and food items for participant and visitor alike.
