Hosted by the USD Tiospaye Student Council
The USD Tiospaye Student Council hosts the annual USD Wacipi each April. The organization had its beginning in 1957 as the Wapaha Club when a group of American Indian students at USD became concerned about student life and retention of American Indian Students at USD. They worked to provide assistance and orientation to American Indian Students, while encouraging American Indian High School Students to attend college. Wapaha Club also strived to bring an enhanced understanding of Native American history and culture to USD. Decades later, TSC continues to uphold the objectives and values bestowed by the Wapaha Club.

Mark your calendar today so you don’t miss the next USD Wacipi in April at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center at the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota.
