2019 Colonial Heritage Festival in Orem
Join us for the 13th Annual Colonial Heritage Festival in Orem, Utah on July 4-6, 2019 at Scera Park for the west’s largest American colonial living and reenactment event. The Colonial Heritage Festival is a free four-day event for the whole family, celebrating the colonial period from 1607 Jamestown through the 1787 signing of the Constitution.

Colonial Heritage Festival in Orem, Utah
The Colonial Heritage Festival offers something for every member of the family. Visit the apothecary shop, blacksmith, cooper, broom maker, gunsmith, spoon maker, potter, various fiber artisans, chandler, baker, Isaiah Thomas Print Shop, frontier life, & much, much more. New programs are sure to educate and entertain with multiple opportunities for audience participation. Children will be able to play colonial games, hone their skills in the daily children’s chores of the period, and even attend a colonial school.
Military enthusiasts can visit the gun displays, experience the cannon firing on the green and watch military demonstrations between the Continental & His Majesty’s Forces. Join the Culper Spy Ring & help get messages to the key players in the battle, but be careful, or you could end up in the pillory. Take the opportunity to meet with some of the Founding Fathers, and ask those questions that you have been dying to know.

At the Colonial Heritage Festival in Orem, Redcoat officers and regulars can be seen throughout the village. They drill and skirmish throughout the event in a space allocated to them. Visitors who are caught carrying encoded messages or paying disrespect to King George may find themselves escorted to the pillory for public punishment or worse
OLD-FASHIONED 4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION!!!
Friday – Enjoy Cries of Freedom, The Musical in it’s 12th season. To celebrate our 12th year we will have a special Walk of Honor in which we honor fallen soldiers and a great line-up of historical personalities, music, animal shows and more!
Colonial Era Theatre & Dance
Friday – 6:00-6:30 pm there will be a short theater performance, reminiscent of what would have been entertainment during colonial America, followed by a colonial era “Country Dance” at 7:00 pm. Colonial dance lessons will be offered throughout the day on Thursday and Friday , however no dance experience is necessary to enjoy this event (more applicable to adults).
Freedom Vehicles Military Outpost
Come join the adventure and experience the Freedom Vehicles Military Outpost located at SCERA Park in Orem Utah. This event is a small mobile version of an adventure park in the development stages that will be known as Victory Park USA! At this mobile version of Victory Park, visitors can have fun learning the principles of freedom as they touch, see, smell and interact with the tools and equipment used to defend the Freedoms that we hold so dear. Participants will experience the life of a solider in the camps of WWI, WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, The Cold War, and Desert Storm. Explore the period of each war as you view bombs, bullets, uniforms, equipment, and other supplies. Over 50 military vehicles including armored and amphibious vehicles will be on display for your enjoyment and education!
