2019 BSU Seven Arrows Powwow

Experience Native American Culture at the 26th Annual BSU Seven Arrows Powwow on April 20-21, 2019 at the Boise State University Student Union Jordan Ballroom in Boise, Idaho. BSU Seven Arrows Powwow action starts with the Grand entry at noon on Saturday, followed by additional dance sessions beginning with Grand Entries and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, and noon on Sunday. Native Americans from the Pacific Northwest, Southwest, and even Canada will be in attendance at the popular event, which showcases the customs of various tribes. The competition draws dancers and drummers of all ages from around the country.

BSU Seven Arrows Powwow

The BSU Seven Arrows Powwow showcases the customs of Native Americans in full regalia, the competition drawing performers from all over the U.S. and Canada. The Powwow weekend is filled with dancers and drummers, providing the opportunity for participants and visitors alike to immerse themselves in the culture of the first people.

The BSU Seven Arrows Powwow also features demonstrations and storytelling, and vendors will be selling traditional crafts and original artwork. General admission is $6; children under 12 are $4; students with a Boise State ID are free, and non-perishable food donations will be taken at the door for the Native American Council of Boise. Discounted parking in the Lincoln Garage will be $1.00 daily.

The Annual BSU Seven Arrows Powwow is one of Boise State’s signature events, featuring song, dance, storytelling and demonstrations—two days of high-energy performance and full regalia pageantry that highlights the rich heritage of Native Americans. If you sell beadwork, jewelry, art and other traditional Native crafts, you’ll want to participate. Showcase your wares at this great and vibrant cultural gathering.
