2020 Cuyamaca College Powwow
Join us for the 6th Annual Cuyamaca College Powwow on February 1, 2020 at Cuyamaca College (“B” Building Quad) in El Cajon, California. The Cuyamaca College Native American Student Alliance (NASA) is hosting its annual Cuyamaca College Powwow in front of the Communication Arts complex, Building B. The free, public event promotes Native American culture and heritage, with dancing, singing, and drumming.

Native American arts and crafts, along with fry bread and Indian tacos, will also be the order of the day, in addition to information booths for Kumeyaay Community College; the San Diego American Indian Health Center; Family Health Centers of San Diego; the Southern California American Indian Resource Center (SCAIR), and others.

About Cuyamaca College Native American Student Alliance
The Native American Student Alliance was formed in 2014 with a mission to promote Native American heritage and to educate students and the public. The student alliance held its first Native American graduation ceremony in 2014 in the Heritage of the Americas Museum, located on campus. Cuyamaca offers a Kumeyaay Studies certificate program as well as a mentoring program for Native American students.
