2019 Kaw Nation Powwow
Come experience the annual Kaw Nation Powwow on August 2-4, 2019, at the Kaw Nation Powwow Grounds in Kaw City, Oklahoma. Enjoy dance contests, exhibitions and audience participation for all ages. Members of the Kaw Nation will descend upon Kaw City in full regalia on Friday night and Saturday to compete in numerous traditional dance contests. A traditional Native American supper will be served at 5pm Saturday and everyone is invited to attend. The Kaw Nation Powwow is a family friendly event and is free and open to the public.
Kaw Nation Powwow
Non-Native visitors are welcome to the Kaw Nation Powwow. Everyone can enjoy watching the dance competitions and who are invited to join in the inter-tribal dancing between competitions. Visitors to the Kaw Nation Pow Wow will also enjoy an extensive selection of food and craft vendors.
Friday evening activities will start with gourd dancing. Saturday and Sunday afternoon sessions are largely dedicated to special dances and giveaways requested by individuals or groups.
In addition to the dancing, there will be plenty to see, do, and eat! A complimentary meal will be served on Saturday evening for all in attendance. Additionally, food vendors will provide treats for every taste, while arts and craft booths will cater to many shopping tastes.

Registration Each Evening at 7:00 p.m.
Must Make 2 Grand Entries to Be Eligible to Contest and must be in full regalia to receive Prize Money!-No Exceptions!
Powwow Committee Meal Provided 5:00 p.m.
