2019 Madison College Pow Wow
All are welcome at the Madison College Pow Wow on April 27, 2019 at Redsten Gymnasium in Madison, Wisconsin. Join hundreds of dancers, drummers, guests and volunteers will gather to make the event a success. A pow wow, such as the Madison College Pow Wow is an event where Native people gather for dancing, singing, visiting with friends and relatives, renewing old friendships and making new ones. Most important, it is a time to think of the old ways and to preserve centuries old heritage.
Madison College Pow Wow
As with all cultures, the songs cover a wide variety of subjects important to the lives of tribal members- honor and family, war and conquest, festivity and spirituality, sadness and mourning, joy and celebration. However, pow wows are not just for Native people. Anyone and everyone is welcome to attend and participate.
General Admission: $5.00 (includes dinner)
Admission also helps cover honorarium costs for our dancers.
Elders 55 and over are Free
Children 5 and under are Free

Grand Entries at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
