2019 Manzanita High Mountain Rendezvous

Step back in time at the 26th Annual Manzanita High Mountain Rendezvous on May 10-18, 2019 at the Northcote Ranch Ranch in Campo, California and visit a mountain encampment. Meet colorful characters from the French and Indian War, the North American Fur Trade era to the California Gold Rush, 1700-1850. The Manzanita High Mountain Rendezvous is fun for the whole family! See history come alive with demonstrations of primitive skills, blacksmithing, candle making, gunsmiths, woodworking, flint and steel fire making, tipis and period tents, archery, tomahawk and knife throwing, target shooting trade goods and clothing.

Day Visitors: we are open to the public from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (first weekend). The following weekend we are open Friday and Saturday. No visitors on Sunday as that is teardown day.

Admission
$5.00 per person. Ages 10 and under free! Military free with ID! Boy Scouts in uniform free! School groups welcome-call in advance for special program. Please leave pets at home. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch and some water, or eat at one of our restaurants.

Primitive Skills Demonstratons & Camp Visits
There is a blacksmith shop where you can see and learn about the important work of the 1800’s blacksmith. There are plenty of mountain men and women who would love to show you their camp and tell you tall tales and stories. You can shoot a blackpowder gun, throw a tomahawk, shoot a bow and arrow or just sit in the shade and enjoy a lemonade.Bring your camera and come an enjoy a trip back in time.

Manzanita High Mountain Rendezvous - Manzanita Shooting Club - Northcote Ranch Ranch

We are located at Northcote Ranch near Lake Morena. From interstate 8, take Buckman Springs Road south for 5.3 miles. Turn right on Oak Dr. and go 1.3 miles. Turn left on Molchan Dr. and go .3 miles to Morena Dr. turn left, go 15 yards then immediately turn right into the entrance at 2402 Lake Morena Dr.

Trader’s Row
Traders may set up Tuesday May 7th. You must be in
period correct clothing and all goods must be between 1700 and 1850 time period. Blanket
traders limited to $500 value on blanket with no restocking allowed. No plastic. No selling of illegal animal parts. Traders may be asked for a donation of prizes. Trade commissioner has final judgment call. Even Day Shooter’s: Period attire is required.
