Join us for the 6th Annual Noccalula Falls Pow Wow on October 19-20, 2019 at Noccalula Falls Park in Gadsden, Alabama. Turtle Island Native American Association presents a Native American Powwow / Indian Festival. Special appearance by Aztec Dancers in their beautiful regalia, Charile Mato-Toyela (premier flute player and maker), and John T. Wayne, Grandson of the ‘Duke’, author and Civil War Buff, Arts and Craft Vendors, Drumming, and Dancing. Seating provided but bringing your own shade is recommended. The Noccalula Falls Pow Wow is a family friendly event, so bring everyone and come enjoy the songs of our ancestors.

Admission
Adults $5.00, 6-14 and over 65 $3.00, Family $10.00, Military in uniform are admitted free.

Daily Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The admission fee will benefit the Turtle Island Native American Association, a non-profit organization that funds multiple Pow Wows across Alabama and Tennessee.

Vendors come to sell their handmade jewelry, dream catchers, pottery, wall hangings and other Native American souvenirs. Specialty crafts and supplies will be sold and demonstrated.

Flint knapping demonstrations and products will also be available. Joe Collins, a local flint knapper, has been practicing the art of making stone art and tools for 13 years. He is a member of the Cherokee tribe.

Fry Bread and other traditional cuisine will be available by Carol Cash-Ford Dockery-Moon’s BBQ (Fry-Bread, Indian Tacos, soft drinks, shaved ice, BBQ, HB, Hotdogs and other items). Native American craft vendors with their handmade items.

No drugs, alcohol politics or open carry allowed on pow wow grounds.
