Join us at the annual Raritan Native American Heritage Pow Wow & Celebration on June 15-16, 2019 at the Middlesex County Fair Grounds in East Brunswick, New Jersey. You are invited to experience Native American dancers, singers, and artists from across the Americas as they celebrate American Indian culture. Grand Entry of Dancers at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Open to the Public, everyone is Welcome. Free parking. Rain or shine. Limited Seating, so guests should bring lawn chairs.

Contest Dancing, Smoke Dance Specials, Pura, Womens’ Fancy Shawl Special, Purple Hearts Mens’ Traditional Special, Golden Age Special Mens’ and Womens’ (3 places).
Family Friendly Festival
The Raritan Native American Heritage Pow Wow is family friendly festival with more than 500 First Nations artists, performers and educators from across the Americas. They come to demonstrate the finest in Native American song, dance, drumming, food, art and crafts. The mission of the event is to educate the general public about Native American traditions and cultures, and to help brake stereotypes about Native American culture and its people today.
Raritan Native American Heritage Powwow & Celebration is a full contest Pow Wow attracting over 500 Native American artists, educators, singers, dancers and performing groups from across the Americas. Over 40 artist booths selling crafts, jewelry, food and more. Performances begin at noon and continue throughout the day, Grand Entry of Dancers are at 1pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. Other highlights of the event include authentic cuisine: buffalo burgers, venison stew and corn soup. Visitors can interact representatives for Lakota, Navajo, Mohawk, Seneca, Cherokee, Aztec, Mayan, Samoan, Hawaiian and many more. There is a live bird of prey exhibit, pony rides and tipi raising.

The Redhawk Native American Arts Council is a not for profit organization founded and maintained by Native American artists and educators residing in the New York City area. Since 1994, the Council is dedicated to educating the general public about Native American heritage through song, dance, theater, works of art and other cultural forms of expression. Redhawk Artists
Redhawk Council produces four of the largest Native American heritage celebrations in the Northeast. The arts council also hosts festivals, workshops, theater presentations and educational programs, addressing stereotypes and fostering an awareness of Native cultures from a historical standpoint, with a focus on contemporary cultural practices. Redhawk shares a traditional Indigenous prospective on sustainable living, thinking green and urban gardening by farming in the council’s garden space.
Dancers
To present programs within the educational system to help students and educators gain a better understanding of Native American history and diverse cultures represented within Native America. The Council also encourages educators to re-think the current out dated curriculum and apply some of the first hand knowledge shared by Native artists and educators.[/su_spoiler][/su_accordion]
