The weekend will feature chances to revisit a more rugged time through exploration of cabins representative of those used by Lincoln’s friends and neighbors. One such cabin is still coming together after making the journey from Falls of Rough, Kentucky, as part of a nine-year replacement project. Other than relocating the logs, the rebuild has been a project undertaken by community members.
Throughout the weekend the grounds of the Rockport Lincoln Pioneer Village Fall Heritage Days will also host campers dressed in period clothing and using traditional 19th century equipment, Unfried said. Anyone interested in joining the historical period camp can contact her at 812-431-7549 or the museum at 812-649-9147 for more information.

Walk through cabins depicting life 200 years ago as Lincoln would have lived it. Visit the museum on the grounds with displays of military artifacts, clothing, utensils, spinning wheels and a rare rocker beater loom still in use today. See the hutch handmade by Abraham Lincoln!
