2019 Skagit Muzzle Loaders Rendezvous
All are welcome at the 40th Annual Skagit Muzzle Loaders Rendezvous on May 17-19 2019 at the Skagit Muzzle Loaders Range in Sedro Wooley, Washington. In the past we have had as many as 250 people at our Rendezvous. We try real hard to have people enjoy their time at our site. We encourage visitors to join us in literally opening a history book and “stepping in with us.”
The Skagit Muzzle Loaders Rendezvous is held each year in May. People begin arriving as early as Thursday evening, but most arrive Friday afternoon and evening. Our Rendezvous is open to the public and we encourage all who are interested to attend. There are several vendors plying their wares, demonstrations by blacksmiths, a traveling black powder museum, children’s activities and a primitive camp where visitors can talk with the campers about their gear if they are amenable. We ask that you respect the campers privacy and personal property during your visit. Please keep any pets on a leash. Dressing in pre-1840s fur-trade era garb is encouraged, but certainly not required.
It’s a family-friendly event with something for everyone: Archery, Tomahawk Toss, Knife Throw, Squirrel Gun Shoot, Candle Shoot, Meat Shoot, Pee Wee Shoot, Candy Cannon and other kid’s activities, Pie Contest, Dutch Oven Dessert Contest, Liars Story Contest, crafts, and craft and primitive skills demonstrations.
