2019 Flying Dust First Nation Powwow | FDFN Powwow
All are welcome at the 15th Annual Flying Dust First Nation Powwow (aka FDFN Powwow) on August 30-September 1, 2019 at the FDFN Powwow Grounds in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada. Come see hundreds of dancers from across Canada and the United States perform in their beautiful regalia. The Flying Dust First Nation Powwow takes place behind Kopahawakenum School at the Arbour, starting with the grand entry on Friday 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, the powwow starts at 1:00 p.m., with dancers and singers taking a break until the start of the evening Grand Entry at 7:00 p.m.
Flying Dust First Nation Powwow
The three-day powwow, the last outdoor powwow of the season, attracts dancers, singers and drummers from across Canada and the United States to enjoy the powwow, friends and family, and to compete for cash prizes. Between the competitors and spectators, usually 3,000 to 5,000 people come through Flying Dust Powwow over the course of the event.
Food vendors will be on hand with a variety of offerings to satisfy your appetite; Those interested in First Nation’s textiles and outfits can visit the art booths selling jewelry, clothing, crafts and blankets.
