2019 Eastern Delaware Nations Forksville Powwow
Join us for the 29th Annual Eastern Delaware Nations Forksville Powwow on June 16-17, 2018 at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds in Forksville, Pennslyvania. The Eastern Delaware Nations Forksville Powwow is a non-Contest Traditional Native American Powwow that attracts dancers from around the country and features Singers, Dancers, Vendors, Food, Social Dancing, Salinas Family Aztec Dancers, Storytelling, Native American Flute Playing, and Knapping Demonstration. A variety of vendors sell traditional Native American food, arts, and crafts.
Eastern Delaware Nations Forksville Powwow
The annual Fathers Day Powwow is co-sponsored by the Eastern Delaware Nations, Inc. and the local Kiwaniis of Sullivan County. The Eastern Delaware Nations Forksville Powwow is a family-friendly event, located a short distance from Worlds End State Park in the beautiful Endless Mountains. Seating is limited, so bring everyone and some chairs and blankets to sit on. No drugs or alcohol are permitted on the powwow grounds.
Gates open at 10:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, with the Grand Entry scheduled at noon both days. Veterans, and those in active service, are honored during opening ceremonies during a Veterans’ dance. Family members are invited to join in this dance representing their loved ones. On Saturday, the new Eastern Delaware Nations Princess will be crowned; Sunday there will be a Father’s Day Dance.
