Join us for the 68th Indian Hills Pow Wow on July 26-28, 2019 at the Indian Hills Pow Wow Grounds in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The Indian Hills Pow Wow in Oklahoma City is an exciting Native American gathering that is open and free to the public. Held in east Oklahoma City, this event features traditional dancing and competitions for all age groups. Visitors can purchase authentic American Indian arts and crafts and cheer on competitors in the horseshoe tournament. Indian tacos and other traditional foods will be available, as well as plenty of activities for children. So, grab the whole family and join in on this fun event.

Indian Hills Pow Wow

The Indian Hills Pow Wow is one of the biggest Pow Wows in the Oklahoma City Metro and features hundreds of traditional Native American dancers from throughout the state and nation. The Oklahoma City Pow Wow Club sponsors the annual event, bringing a mix of progressive and traditional programming. Three days and nights of pagentry, talent exhibitions, and dance competitions will be seen Friday through Sunday, when the annual Indian Hills Pow Wow is held at the Indian Hills Pow Wow Grounds at 9300 N Sooner Road between Wilshire and Britton. Admission is free.

The official opening will be at 5:00 p.m. Friday as Gourd Dancing begins, followed by the Grand Entry at 8:00 pm for Friday’s celebration of dance contests. Gourd dancers originally were select group of warriors who served as lawmen for the Indians during frontier days. In addition to Friday evening, Gourd dancing begins at 2:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Over 20 arts and crafts booths will be set up for business Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
