2019 MSU American Indian Council Pow Wow
Join us for the 44th MSU American Indian Council Pow Wow on March 29-30, 2019 at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse in Bozeman, Montana. The Powwow opens Friday night at 6 p.m. with the grand entry. Grand entries will also be held on Saturday at noon and 6 p.m. Experience the sights and sounds of the pow wow, the dancing, singing, and colorful regalia representing numerous tribes and dance styles.

Other events Saturday include the 5k and 1 mile fun run; American Indian Alumni Breakfast at in the Hall of Fame room in the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse; and Basketball Tournament. There is no admission charged for this event, which is open to the public.
MSU’s American Indian Council works for months to prepare for their annual Powwow, being held Friday and Saturday. The event — free and open to all members of the public — is expected to draw 5,000 people to the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse to witness and celebrate Indian culture.
The MSU American Indian Council raises tens of thousands of dollars to put on the Powwow, Through Indian taco sales at the Christmas Stroll and the International Food Bazaar they’ve raised enough to host the event and offer lots of prize money. The Powwow features contests in drumming and dancing in many categories.
