2019 NRLHF Corps of Discovery Teaching Event
Join us at the 15th Annual NRLHF Corps of Discovery Teaching Event on May 16-19, 2019 at the Nichols Family Farm in Toronto, Ohio. to experience pre-1840s colonial and fur trade era life. The purpose of the National Rendezvous and Living History Foundation (NHRLF) Corps of Discovery is to help educate attendees on the ways of living and surviving in the American colonial era, between 1640 and 1840.
What is the Corps of Discovery?
The Corps of Discovery is a learning exploration – much like Lewis and Clark when their expedition left for the great unknown from the banks of the Ohio River in 1804. What experiences can be explored? In the past we offered many seminars such as wing-bone turkey calls, cooking on an open fire with Dutch ovens, the art of scrimshaw, bow/arrow demonstrations, tomahawk and knife throwing and blacksmithing. We are always adding different seminars or workshops. All North American Order of the Beaver members are invited to an annual camp at Corps of Discovery.
