2019 Quapaw Powwow
Head to the 147th Annual Quapaw Powwow on July 4-7, 2019 at the Quapaw Powwow Grounds at Beaver Springs Park in Quapaw, Oklahoma to experience American Indian traditions with the Quapaw tribe. The tribe holds its annual Quapaw Powwow celebration over the 4th of July weekend each year, that includes singing, dancing, contests, vendors and plenty of family fun. Come celebrate the culture and history of the Quapaw Tribe.
Quapaw Tribal Powwow
The Quapaw Tribal Powwow includes adult, teen and junior dance contests. Attendees can also enjoy food, arts and crafts and other vendors. Tribal members and others come from near and far every year, and have for many, many years to gather for powwow. The Grand Entry begins at 8:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Powwow Princess
The Quapaw Pow Wow Princess is crowned every year at the Annual Quapaw Tribal Powwow. The Powwow princess is selected by the Powwow Princess Committee on the basis of their application. The Powwow Princess represents the Annual Powwow and in a number of fashions including local parades, dances and contest powwows hosted by other tribes and organizations when possible.

All Adult and Golden Age categories have four places,
1st place – $1000
2nd place – $800
3rd place – $600
4th place – $400
Men and Women Golden Age Categories are combined.
Teen Categories
1st place – $500
2nd place – $400
3rd place – $300
Junior Categories
1st place – $400
2nd place – $300
3rd place – $200

Saturday: Quapaw Day, Gourd Dancing, Quapaw 18 & Up Men’s Straight Contest, Quapaw 18 & Up Women’s Cloth Dress Contest, Youth 0-17 Girl’s Quapaw Cloth Contest, & Youth 0-17 Boy’s Quapaw Straight Dance Contest. All Quapaw family’s requests for specials must be on this day.
Sunday: Gourd Dancing, Men, Teen, & Junior Dance Categories: Fancy, Traditional, Straight, & Grass. Women, Teen & Junior Categories: Cloth Buckskin, Jingle, & Fancy Shawl.
