2019 Ashland Labor Day Powwow
Don’t miss the Annual Ashland Labor Day Powwow on August 30 – September 2, 2019 at the Ashland Dance Arbor on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Ashland, Montana. The arbor on U.S. Highway 212 between Ashland and the St. Labre Mission comes alive during the Labor Day weekend. Drummers and dancers from many tribes will gather to be part of this pow wow.
Ashland Labor Day Powwow
Vendors will set up their booths for food and Native American art, beadwork and other crafts. Giveaways, gourd dancing and hand games are part of the Ashland Labor Day Powwow festivities. This event is an excellent opportunity to learn about Native American culture. It’s educational and fun for the entire family.

Northern Cheyenne Reservation
The Northern Cheyenne Reservation encompasses 440,000 acres of land, with Lame Deer serving as tribal headquarters. Over half of the 9,043 enrolled tribal members live on the reservation. The Cheyenne Nation is comprised of ten bands, spread all over the Great Plains, from Southern Colorado to the Black Hills in South Dakota. The tribe’s annual celebrations include the Lame Deer 4th of July Pow Wow, Northern Cheyenne Day Celebration and Ashland Labor Day Pow Wow.
