2019 CMU Celebrating Life Pow Wow
All are invited to the 30th Annual CMU Celebrating Life Pow Wow on March 23-24, 2019 at the CMU Events Center in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. CMU’s Pow wow committee will host dancers and singers from all over North America. The annual CMU Celebrating Life Pow Wow brings people together to meet for the first time or rejuvenate old friendships through dancing and singing by preserving the Native American culture.
CMU Celebrating Life Pow Wow
Doors open at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Grand entries take place Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. and Sunday at noon. For the general public, tickets are $7 for adults. Admission is free for children ten years or under, SCIT memebers and CMU students (both with ID).
Central Michigan University’s Pow wow committee, s student-run committee works year-round on the CMU Celebrating Life Pow Wow so that visitors from the community, as well as participants from all over the U.S. can enjoy themselves and learn more about Native American Culture.
Vendors will offer traditional food and crafts while spectators enjoy the immersion of culture. CMU’s Pow wow draws members of different Native American tribes–including the Saginaw Chippeaw Indian Tribe — with contests in singing, drumming and dancing.
The food vendors make traditional foods like fried bread and lemonades; the craft vendors offer all types of native craft work, including bead-work and leather crafts.

Vendor Information
This is an application only. It is not an invitation or contract to exhibit your items at the Pow wow. In order to be considered for a booth, you must submit all of the requested documentation with your application no later than March 1, 2019. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be considered. All vendors must comply with the Indian Arts & Crafts Act of 1990 (P.L. 101-644). Booth sharing is prohibited. Failure to comply with any of the above, will result in your immediate removal from the Pow wow as well as a forfeited vendor fee. Vendor Application
