From start to finish, Hershel teaches you how to build a classic Kentucky Rifle beginning with a maple stock blank, Colerain barrel, a lock and some brass castings. He inlets the tapered and flared barrel, then demonstrates how to fabricate and install the trigger, sights, ramrod pipes, the patch box, silver inlays and barrel tennons. The muzzle cap is cast in pewter. After carving and engraving, the rifle is stained and finished. An excellent two-disc DVD set for beginners and experienced builders alike.
