Order Tips & Instructions:

• To order multiple colors, use the "continue shopping" button to return and enter another selection.
• Kilo and 1/2 kilo prices represent considerable savings since we save packaging time. Prices are for one color per kilo or 1/2 kilo.
• Select order "unit" (hank, 1/2 kilo, kilo) & color desired
• Indicate second choices (in the special instructions at the end of the order, where possible) since some colors are unavailable from time to time.
• Remember, order enough background color to match since dye lots vary & different lots may not match.
• Color variations will not affect designs but may be noticeable in backgrounds.
• Sometimes we receive beads that are slightly off size; however, this is unavoidable due to the manufacturing process.
• We carry strung seed beads rather than loose because they are much better quality, more uniform in size, and much easier to use, with fewer culls.

Most of us start by using Czech beads, then discover modern-made beads from Italy, France, Germany, India, China, Pakistan, Japan, Taiwan, and elsewhere. Native American Tribal Bead Color Preferences

The use of colors by Indian beadworkers varies widely among the many different tribes throughout the U.S. & Canada. These are general guidelines for some of the better known beadworking tribes. Many exceptions to this can be found, but this provides a basis for staying within the traditions for these tribes. One should also be aware that many variations of hues existed within given shades of colors, and these varied from factory to factory as well as in different lots from the same factory.
