The hawk arrived well packaged and in great shape, no real edge so I sharpened it myself. I have a board with 2x10 lumber for throwing, I ordered 2 of these and was trying them out, one held up perfectly well but the other one had quite serious breaks, large chips snapped off the edge 1/4" deep in some areas. I've never used a cast hawk before so perhaps I sharpened it at too steep an angle but I give it 3 stars as the material didn't seem to hold up well under stress. Again, I ordered 2 and the other one held up well, only one broke but the i dont believe cast metal is well suited for the strains of throwing.
