A bushy evergreen known for its "ability to restore balance of mind or body", lavender generates a positive atmosphere for healing. The oils may be rubbed onto clothes or letters and the leaves are used in sachets. Native uses are as an antidepressant, analgesic, anti- septic and bactericidal.
