Broadcloth - For mounting hairplates - These strips are just the right size to mount hairplates or an otter strip for a Straight Dance dragger.
Use in several ways: Fold and stitch the 6" x 60" strip lengthwise to make a double or triple thickness strap or use full width with ribbon edge-binding to mount hairplates or an otter strip.
Available in 3-Band, (85% wool) or 8-Band(100% wool) Broadcloth, in red or blue, with color selvedge bands on each end.
This is an enhancement of the original presentation at the Material Culture of the Plains, Prairie and Plateau Conference. It is an attempt to show examples of the various types of trade cloth and their use by American Indian people over time.
