Brass buckets were among the first items traded by early explorers to the Indians. Consequently, they were widely seen in both settlement and frontier settings in use by settlers, explorers, trappers, hunters and Indians. Even today, some tribes use them as cooking kettles for traditional ceremonies, feasts and pow-wows. Our buckets and kettles are exact replicas of those produced by the old American Brass Kettle Company. These reproductions are made using the same spinning technique that had developed by the mid 1800's. They're heavy gauged solid brass with tin lining to make them food safe, with the modern emphasis on fire safety at camp, they can be used as authentic fire buckets as well as everyday water buckets or cook kettles.
