This kidney-shaped pouch features a hair-on, calf skin flap with rounded corners and a decorative, fringed or scalloped edge across the top. The bag itself has a large gusset with fringe along the bottom front edge and an internal pocket. for small accouterments.  Approximately 7-1/2" x 8".

These are some of the finest, hand-crafted bags that we've seen, and we're proud to offer them as one-of-a-kind pieces available exclusively through our website. Made by a highly experienced leather craftsman, they are finely constructed using vegetable tanned cowhide that is supple and softened after custom dying. These custom possibles bags are based on originals in Madison Grant's book, "Kentucky Rifle Hunting Pouches". They are period correct, with hand-sewn seams in heavy linen thread, various features such as full gussets with welts, decorative cut-outs, bound flaps, scalloped trim, fringed edges, etc. The fully adjustable straps are 7/8" wide, made of vegetable tanned leather with hand-forged iron buckles and incised borders. Often, heart-shaped cut-outs are featured and are backed with contrasting colored leather. Each hunting pouch includes an inside pocket for small accouterments. They are the perfect size for most any hunt, measuring approximately 7-1/2" x 8".  Colors may vary somewhat depending on availability of hides.
