Elites used spoons to serve and eat bear, goat, eggs, fish, berries and oil out of carved wooden vessels. Less well known than beadwork and basketry, carved horn spoons possess a profound elegance in their robust carvings and gently curved forms.
Our horn spoons are elegantly hand carved from buffalo horn and reflect the simple ingenuity many tribes used to embed their art into items of everyday use.
