This is a 4th Generation, York County style Screw Tip Powder Horn made several months ago by Master Horner Rex Reddick. The body of the horn has a gentle curve with a slight twist, and is airtight in order to keep your powder nice and dry. The tip is one of the typical York styles, being turned horn dyed a dark brown. The butt is maple, attached with 5 wooden pegs and stained a medium walnut color. It exhibits the proper concentric circles and chip carving, all features of 4th generation York horns. This is a fairly large horn, like many of the Yorks, with an overall length across of 13" and a diameter of 2-3/4" at the butt.
