York County Screw Tip Powder Horn, 4th Generation
4940-900-001Product Details
This 4th Generation, York County Screw Tip Powder Horn, is a nice York County style powder horn showing some age and use, probably being made in the last 20 or 30 years. The body of the horn has a very nice patina, with a longitudinal stress crack that does not affect its use, as the horn is airtight. The tip is turned horn, and the butt is nicely turned and carved maple that is stained a dark walnut color and attached with 5 wooden pegs, all features that are typical of 4th generation York horns. The tip is by Master Horner Rex Reddick and is a correct style replacement for one that was incorrect for this horn.
Overall length across is 12” and 2-1/4” in diameter at the butt.
