Black Nymo Nylon Beading Thread - Size 00 Bobbin is our finest Nymo thread for intricate beadwork using very small seed beads. Approximately 0.12–0.13 mm in diameter, this thin, flexible nylon thread is particularly useful with 13/0 and smaller beads, including fine Czech cut seed beads, where small holes and repeated thread passes make heavier threads difficult to use. Excellent for peyote (gourd) stitch, brick stitch, bead embroidery, and detailed beading on fan handles, Straight Dance sticks, belt buckles, earrings, and other decorative projects.
Size 00 provides the fine diameter needed for close-pattern beadwork, especially techniques requiring repeated passes through the same bead. Black thread is a useful choice with dark beads, dark backgrounds, and designs where the stitching should blend into the finished work. It also works well as a bead loom weft thread for small seed beads.
Pre-stretch Nymo before beginning a project and condition with beeswax or a suitable thread conditioner to help reduce tangling and fraying. For bead loom warp threads, cotton or another low-stretch material is generally preferred. Select a fine beading needle suitable for the bead-hole size and the number of thread passes required.
Size 00 is finer than our Size A Nymo thread and is best suited to delicate beadwork rather than heavy-duty garment or leather sewing.

Needle sizes are like bead sizes; the larger the number the smaller the size. A #10 needle can be used with 10/0 beads, a #11 with 11/0, and so on. The #12 Sharps and #15 Beading needles are the smallest sizes available so they are best for 14/0 to 16/0 beads. However, some beads may have holes that are too small even for these needles.
