Product Details
Tricornes or tri-corns, were by far the most popular and widely distributed European hat of the 18th century. Worn by both civilians and the military alike, these hats could range from a very basic style to excessively lavish.
Evolved from the classic, wide-brimmed hats used in Spain, these brims were eventually turned up to funnel the rain water in wet areas. Our version replicates this iconic shape and can work for both colonial military or civilian re-enactors.
This hat is made from black wool felt and has a black sewn trim and leather sweatband. A great economical hat for period dress.
