Using rigid standards, these high quality blades are made from Norwegian, high-carbon stainless steel, which is some of the finest in the world. Treated with chromium, it is the same as used for razor blades, making these popular blades extremely durable and excellent for patch knives and small utility knives.ABOUT THE STEEL: Norwegian Steel - (5429-***-***)
This steel is very fine quality and produced under rigid standards. The laminated blades are made of 3 layers of carbon steel: a very hard inner layer with a Rockwell hardness of 59 that is bonded to two outer layers of softer steel. Others are high carbon stainless containing chromium in order to help prevent rust.
