I got this for my #7 kettle and I'm pretty happy with it. The hide is relatively thin with an even and smooth surface, stretches nicely and sounds good. Since it's on the thinner side, it's easier to get good tension on it and needs a bit less thumb pressure when playing, which is nice. Only thing is the surface feels a bit slippery/slimy when wet, which is kinda odd but doesn't seem to interfere with it sounding good.
