History records that, by the mid-1800s, the Kitchin family, known for their distinctive rattlesnake logo, was already making knives in the Sheffield area. Here's a version of one of their "hunters" built along the lines of the many Bowies made back then. At 11-1/4" overall and with a stylish 6-3/4" x 1-3/8" clip point blade, this is an efficient tool for hunting, camp, defense or survival.

A good knife at a good price. I chose this knife for my primitive outfit over a bowie because I think it would be more authentic. Hollywood portrays a lot of folks with a bowie but I'm betting there weren't that many. The edge is ground at 30 degrees. The steel felt consistent during the sharpening process. It is marked Sheffield but made in Pakistan. The wood handle looks like teak but is not specified. Fit is good.

Just got this knife it’s a very nice knife needs a little sharping but is a good solid knife
